Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician from England. He was part of One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where together with his three classmates, he formed his own group, White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing results. He always had an interest in music, but also wanted to pursue a career as an attorney, physiotherapist or even a scout. While working in the city's pastry shop Harry Styles managed to support his family. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the 2010 auditions to The X Factor. The reason for this was that the group split. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The group's creation was a fact in 2010 and the five young people were funded by Simon Cowell. The group sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls for the prize. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive any cash prize. However, Cowell offered a 2-million-pound deal with One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
